Privacy Policy
DigiMaker helps businesses create branded social media content and publish it to the accounts they connect. This policy explains what information DigiMaker (“we”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, role and the company you belong to. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash.
- Business content you provide — company profile, logos, brand colours, product catalogue, images and videos you upload.
- Content we generate for you — posts, captions and videos created in DigiMaker, and your publishing schedule.
- Connected social accounts — when you connect Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or LinkedIn, we receive the identifiers, names and profile pictures of the Pages, accounts or channels you choose, and access tokens that let us publish on your behalf. After we publish, we store the post’s id and link.
- Technical information — IP address, browser type and sign-in times, used for security (for example, blocking repeated failed sign-ins) and troubleshooting.
We do not read your private messages, your followers’ or subscribers’ personal data, or your accounts’ analytics.
2. How we use information
- To provide the service: generate content in your brand style and publish it where and when you schedule it.
- To keep accounts secure and prevent abuse.
- To send you service emails, such as password reset links.
- To provide support when you contact us.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Data from connected platforms
Facebook and Instagram (Meta). With your permission we list the Facebook Pages you manage and the Instagram professional accounts linked to them, and publish posts, reels and stories you schedule. We use Meta data only to provide this publishing feature. You can disconnect in DigiMaker at any time, or remove DigiMaker in Facebook under Settings → Apps and websites; Meta then notifies us and we delete the related data (see Data deletion).
YouTube (Google). DigiMaker uses YouTube API Services to upload the videos you schedule to the channel you connect, and to read that channel’s name and picture. By connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke DigiMaker’s access at any time in your Google account security settings. DigiMaker’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
LinkedIn. With your permission we list the LinkedIn company Pages you administer and publish the posts you schedule to them. You can revoke access in LinkedIn under Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services.
Data received from one platform is never shared with another platform or used for any purpose other than publishing for you.
4. AI processing
To generate captions and content suggestions, we send the relevant parts of your business content (for example, your brand voice and product details) to AI model providers that process it on our behalf under their business API terms. Content from your connected social accounts is not sent to AI providers.
5. Who we share information with
- The social platforms you choose to publish to — only the content you schedule.
- Service providers that help us run DigiMaker: hosting, AI model providers, and email delivery. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, where required by law.
6. Security and storage
Connection tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM), passwords are hashed, and all traffic uses HTTPS. Access to production data is limited to staff who need it to run and support the service.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. Disconnecting a social account deletes its access tokens immediately. If your company closes its DigiMaker account, we delete its data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records (for example, invoices). See Data deletion for how to ask us to delete your data.
8. Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. Email support@digimaker.in and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Children
DigiMaker is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will notify account owners by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
